Latino artist Ricky Martin once owned this six-bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills, Calif. From 2004 until 2006, and now it is back on the market for $26,900,000 since August 5.
That is perhaps the heftiest in our big time listing so far, which is located at 1309 Davies Drive in the BH PO.
According to public records, Martin bought the house in 2004 for $10.9 million and sold it in 2006 for exactly $15,000,000.
Martin owned the house from when he bought it in 2004 for $10.9 million until he sold it in 2006 (before we began blogging) for exactly $15,000,000, according to public records.
Non-celebrities purchased the mansion from Martin, particularly a CEO in the energy industry, and is right now putting the place back to the market. The mansion is pretty interesting as it has some extensive history to it:
Ruth Ryon of The Los Angeles Times noted in her 2006 report on Martin’s sale. As Ryon detailed, the house that stands there now was built on the site of a now-demolished 9,000-square-foot, mid-century house that was first owned by Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, who had bought it for her only child, racecar driver Lance Reventlow. Sadly, Reventlow perished in a 1972 plane crash at age 36. Then, from 1976 until ‘87, actor Michael Caine owned the now-demolished house with his wife, Shakira. Although the Caines installed an indoor-outdoor swimming pool — part of which was in the living room — the new buyers in 1987 (who bought it after it had been listed first for $3.85 million, according to news accounts at the time, and later was listed for $2.95 million) removed the indoor portion of the pool, Ryon noted.
Early this decade, a builder paid $4,700,000 for the now-demolished, seven-bedroom house and 2.4-acre property, tore the house down, and constructed the mansion that currently stands on the property. Martin then purchased it in 2004.
According to listing information, the mansion features 12 baths, a large family room that opens to a gourmet kitchen, a master suite with his and hers baths, a gym, and four bedroom suites, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the property, which sits on a knoll, include a guest house and a tennis court.
The exact size of the mansion is still not determined. Public records say it measures 9,202 square feet, but that just might be the square footage of the house that previously had stood on the property until it was demolished early this decade. The estate measures more than 14,000 square feet (although some of that may include the guest house) according to listing information.

I like Ricky Martin so much…God bless you RM!!! Have a nice life, keep it forever till the end of your life, Amennnnn!
