Nobel Prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist Paul Krugman has now already sold his one-bedroom co-op unit the building at 304 W. 89th Street on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for $565,000 with the deed recorded on August 28.

This renovated one-bedroom co-op unit, located on the top-floor unit on West 89th Street, features one bath and a recently renovated, windowed kitchen with an open layout, stainless steel counters and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, a Thermador oven and a Jenn-Air side-by-side refrigerator, according to listing information.

Milla Jovovich, actress, model, and wife of director Paul W.S. Anderson, has sold her four-bedroom, 3,582-square-foot house in Beverly Hills, Calif. for $2,750,000.

Paul Krugman, a Nobel Prize-winning economist and New York Times columnist, has put his current apartment on sale for $599,000 while he has paid $1,700,000 to purchase a three-bedroom co-op apartment on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Krugman’s purchase of the six-room unit, which occurred earlier this month, has been written about by Ben Abelson of The New York Observer.  In an interview, Krugman told Abelson that he recently “came into some money,” referring to his approximately $1.4 million payout that came with winning the Nobel in 2008.  He further said that he does “expect New York prices might fall some more, but” they “need a place.”

Actor J.K. Simmons is now selling his house for $1,795,000.  This is quite a price cut from the previous asking price of his contemporary-style house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills which was $1,995,000.

Simmons’  house has been on an on-again, off-again listing and Lauren Beale of the Los Angeles Times wrote on August 3 about Simmons’ new asking price.  A story about Simmons’ listing of the 4,190-square-foot house was first broken in October last year.
